Should I do any sort of intake/exhaust upgrade first (changing to cold air intake, changing stock turbo, etc) To monitor exhaust temps or boost pressure? I’ve read if I’m going to put a chip in, I should buy gauges. Im no stranger to working on engines / my truck but I’ll be damned if I tear apart my truck or have to fork out some money for brand new injectors because I was a dumbass that didn’t think everything through, yknow?) In regards to things wearing and tearing in general, what do I need to upgrade/worry about overdoing? If anything in this post, this is the question I’m most worried / need the answer to the most. I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback with regards to chips and auto trans cycling through its gears, but what about a manual? Surely there’s still benefit from buying a chip, right?Īlso with regards to trannys, would I be putting more wear and tear on my manual trans with a chip? (I’m not dumping the clutch or anything, just average driving). I’ve been thinking of buying myself a performance chip for my truck but have several questions because this is all new to me. Hi!
